Design, Dining and a Love for Everything RL
What better way to start off the week than by having lunch at RL? If you know me at all, you know that I love RL. It is not only my favorite restaurant in Chicago - it's my favorite restaurant in general. I love the food. I love the ambiance. And I love the fact that my boss, the talented Mr. Cunningham, designed it. I loved it long before I even knew this, but now it just makes the dining experience for me that much better because I can see his spot on attention to detail everywhere, and it makes complete sense that it is a product of his vision. And did I mention that he also shares my passion for karaoke...I mean could I have possibly found a better work culture? I don't think so.

Lolla Looks
Good thing I have had years of training on how to be a hipster to prepare for this weekend. The exclusive provider of shoes in my Lollapalooza 2011 looks lineup - Heutchy. Thanks, Dawson!

Inside the Artist Studio
Today I ventured back to the South Side (what up) to see some more of an artist's work I spotted last week at Zhou B, and I realized for the first time that Comiskey Park is no longer Comiskey Park, ha...shows you how much I follow sports. Anyways, I had a pleasant meeting with Brigitte Wolfe who invited me inside her studio to show me more of her work. Isn't she talented?!

Even Missoni Makes Mistakes?
I went to the merchandise mart today to try and find the one missing piece to make my apartment decor complete...a new bedroom lamp. Now I am not trying to be 'so New York', but the D&D building in New York is just so much better. And I don't even mean the goods since both carry a lot of the same vendors, but the layout of the merchandise mart is awful. Once you pass the second floor nothing can be digested! Well, the one thing I was able to digest was the Missoni home collection on display at Stark. First off, I was surprised to see that Stark was carrying Missoni...an unlikely pairing...Sacco maybe, but Stark? Really? Anyways, I obviously took a look at what they had to offer, and for the first time in my life I can say I was seriously disappointed. Yes, Missoni disappointed me. Their fabrics and wall covering selections on display were as fabulous as ever, but the carpets, not so much. Let's pin this one on Stark though. I don't want to pull a Countess Luann and say that even Missoni makes mistakes...on another note, stay away from the 13th and 14th ('gift and accessory') floors...tres tacky.
pics to come...my phone seems to have lost its life (must have been playing too much Chic C'est la Vie than it could handle!)
